Happy 4th!

Happy 4th of July!!! While you people are out enjoying yourselves, having picnics, watching fireworks and the whole shebang, I will be at work. Woe is me. No, but really, it's my own fault. I actually chose to work today. I chose to work today because my mommy and daddy are visiting me next week and I'm taking off next Friday to go out with my mom and look at BRIDAL WEAR! It's not a bad trade off if you ask me.

Tomorrow I have to go on an overnight trip for work, but I'll be back Friday afternoon sometime. I feel like every night has been busy this week. Monday we went to Edgar's mom's house and last night we had to take the hairy, four-legged children to the vet. They both have itchy, red bellies (allergies) and they needed to get some medicine. Their annual visit was supposed to be in August, but we asked if they would give them their vaccinations, etc. last night so we wouldn't have to come back in a month and pay the $45 visit fee. It was nice to save $45, but what was not nice was that the bill came to over $500 (shoot me in the foot...both of them). Do you know what I could have bought with $500!!!!????!!!! Something other than pills, ear medication and special shampoo.

Are they worth it? With that price tag, I'm just not sure anymore... ;-)

Awwww, but look how cute they are! I'd say they're definitely worth it! (But maybe they should get off their lazy asses and get jobs so they can help pay for their own stuff!)

Have fun dress shopping next week! Will we get to see pictures, or will we have to wait until after the wedding so edgar doesn't see you in a wedding dress before the big day?

Don't hate me b/c I'm sitting in my pj's, drinking coffee and listening to the birds sing through my open windows. lol Sorry that was mean. I should've mentioned the ceiling fan blowing too! LMAO I know you'll be teasing us people next weekend when we're at work. Its fair.

Wow $500. I miss having a dog but I don't miss the vet bills.

    Cece--I hate you. :-D

Audrey--They are cute and I love them like they were straight from my own loins, but I agree that they should get jobs. And mow my lawn while they're at it.

If I find "the" dress, I'll e-mail pictures by request :-)

Yikes... expensive pooches. But we gotta do what we gotta do, right? ;)

If it's any consolation, we don't have any 4th of July celebrations, AND it's already the 5th, so boo!

Oh next week sounds FUN. I can't wait to read about your adventures - you will be posting, right?

I'm actually not doing a thing today.
    It's nice.

    Sorry you had to work.
But not sorry because it was your choice.

    :)

OMG, they are so CUTE though. L Sass wants a puppy!!!!

I am SO excited for your bridal wear extravaganza. And, honestly, it's not a bad deal to be in the office when everyone else is out. I always find that I get a ton of stuff done with minimal stress.

Hope you got to see some fireworks, though.

Working on holidays suck! I'm sorry you had to do that but I am also excited to hear about your bridal finds.

They are both worth it. Trust me.

    Awww, what cute pups!

They are so totally worth it. But I know what you mean. Usually an expense like that always seems to come at un unexpected, bad time.

My Dalmatian pretty much has a red belly all year, now. Even with medication. Dals are just allergy-prone dogs.

The worst part, though, is that we were a month late putting their flea meds on them (we have 2 dogs) and when we went to Florida for 10 days, we got back and there must have been a flea explosion because now my legs are covered it itchy swollen bites and I feel like I have the plague. We put flea meds on the dogs and cat right away, I bombed the house yesterday, washed ALL of the bedding (ours and dogs) in hot water, and bought spray for the yard, and I still woke up with more bites. Grrrr, I tell ya. This sucks. I have never had this many bites on my body all at the same time ever ever ever. I just hope we don't have to call out an exterminator.

It's a good thing your pups don't read blogs, because I think their poor little feelings would be hurt! But yeah, I think I'd be saying the exact same things if I had to shell out $500 for anyone but myself.

Honestly, I would have traded my 4th of July "holiday" for today, or Monday, or next Friday off. Seriously. WTF is up with this shit in the middle of the week. I got to work on Thursday thinking it was Monday all over again. Fook mi!

Aww, the barkers are adorable. I must blog about mine again. I have the funniest self-picture of him and me from last weekend.
